Jeffery and I met at church. He had been attending the same church for months but had never met each other. In December 2010, we were introduced by my brother.
Jeffery proposed to me on Christmas Eve of last year. He had just joined the army and was allowed two weeks home from basic training. After spending Christmas Eve with his family, he took me outside to exchange gifts. He gave me a small bag and I was completely surprised when I pulled out a scarf. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting! Then he started telling me how much he loved me and before I knew it, he was down on one knee with tears in his eyes asking me to marry him. He proposed standing in the same spot where we shared our first kiss.
Lindsey also shared with us some advice: "Have enough time to look for gowns on several days in case you get sick!"
