Do you know about the Chinese Wedding Traditions?

In recent years, western-style wedding become a trend and fashion. More and more newlyweds choose to hold their ceremony on the beach or in the church. As for me, compared with the modern wedding, I am more interested in the traditional ones. And today, I want to share several symbols of Chinese wedding traditions with you.

Symbol 1: the carefully selected wedding day
Wedding anniversaries in China are carefully chosen according to astrological signs. It is also customary for couples to be married on the half-hour or their wedding day rather than at the top of the hour. In this way, the couple begins their new lives together on an 'upswing', while the hands of the clock are moving up, rather than down. Very particular and interesting!

Symbol 2: the color
Different from a western wedding, a Chinese wedding color is red. Why? Because red signifies love and prosperity. Wedding guests also wear bright colors especially red which symbolizes luck and wealth in Chinese culture. The bride's wedding down is often red, as are the wedding invitations, and wedding gift boxes or envelopes for cash gifts. Even the bride and groom's homes are decorated in red on the wedding day.

Symbol 3: the wedding dress
At most Chinese weddings, the bride wears a Qipao instead of a wedding dress. I do think that for Asian women, Qipao can better show the beauty and charming of the female. Its exquisite workmanship and embroidery make it not only a cloth, but also an artwork.
