Joanne, a Fashion Grader/Marker for Karen Millen tied the knot with her beau Luke, a retail manager for a games brand on 15th August last year at  The Royal College of Physicians on Queen Street in Edinburgh.
“Luke and I are really into music, and have a really eclectic taste however a few of our all time favourites are best know from the late 60’s and 70’s, such as Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Neil Young, The Doors, Joni Mitchell etc, so the music by these people and the eras in which they are from was a big influence on the style of wedding we had."

reblogged: Vineyard Wedding at Crossroads Estate

original: http://www.stylemepretty.com/2014/01/22/vineyard-wedding-at-crossroads-estate/

There’s something about fluffy, pink dahlias that instantly slaps a smile on my face no matter what my mood. But when they’re amongst a vineyard wedding that’s magazine-worthy in every single way? Well, you can consider me the happiest camper of them all. Honey Honey snapped all the goodies sitting pretty for you here!

Spaghetti Strap Tulle Gown with Beaded Lace Style

Be it traditional or modern, a wedding just doesn’t seem complete without a flower girl preparing the bride’s path down the aisle with a gentle toss of rose or other petals from a basket.Although picking an appropriate dress for your flower girl isn’t too complicated, you must give the task just as much attention as you did when picking out your own dress.
t’s imperative that you prepare for the dress hunt. Unless you plan to have your flower girl sit next to you as a reference the entire time you search online, which is an unlikely scenario if she is very young, finding the right dress requires that you make certain preparations.

Your flower girl will look just as fierce as you on your special day in this mini bridal gown! Spaghetti strap soft net pleated bodice features one shoulder streamer at sleeve. Beaded lace embroidered appliques at waist is ultra-chic. Coordinates with Galina Signature style SWG579. Fully lined. Back zip. Imported polyester. Dry clean only.

If you recall, I had been pretty upset at my brother because, truth be told, he was kind of being a pain in the ass (as little brothers tend to be). But when he came up to me after the ceremony, eyes puffy from crying, and told me how much he loved me, I started sobbing. It wasn’t pretty, but I’ll show you guys anyway.

My parents eventually moseyed on over and we were able to finish our family portraits, but we were already way behind schedule at this point. I’m not going to lie to you guys, I was pretty annoyed at the whole thing. Not only did our entire reception timeline get screwed up, we ended up having to pay for a full extra hour of photography! You can file this under reason #1 why I regret not doing a receiving line (more on that later)… However, since that’s pretty much the only thing that went wrong at our wedding, I’ll count my blessings and shut up about it.

You know a wedding is going to be a good one when today's couple {Nicole and Danny} says the "main goal for our wedding was for everyone to have a great time".Even the wet gray skies and a pesky garden cat couldn't frazzle the bride on her wedding day. This is such a wonderful reminder as we kick off another week. You're marrying your love, with family and friends with you and as they always say, everything else is just the icing on the cake {whether planned or not}. One of the super sweet moments of the wedding was when Nicole surprised Danny with his father's 25th anniversary wedding band during the ring exchange. This was a very special gift as Danny's father had passed away 10 years earlier and his mom gave her blessing to give it to him. And, the purple color for the wedding? It's Nicole's favorite color

reblogged: TEA FOR TWO: A COSY WINTER ENGAGEMENT SHOOT

original: http://bridalmusings.com/2013/11/cosy-winter-engagement-shoot-christie-graham-photography/
This winter engagement shoot by Christie Graham Photography is one of the loveliest and cosiest I’ve ever featured!
Sarah and Chris spend their days making art – Sarah is a freelance makeup artist, and Chris is a graphic artist and illustrator at Drawn to Play. They also own a furniture company together – Pip & Sas – restoring furniture with a shabby-chic finish.
Their love of vintage decor and tea cups was the inspiration behind their charming engagement shoot on a frosty morning in Jericho Park, Vancouver.
Sarah looked absolutely beautiful with her flawless skin, chic red lipstick and perfectly messy side braid. While Chris looked suitably handsome donning a beanie and cardigan – complete with boutonniere!

2014 Evening Dresses on dressv.com

Evening wear, sometimes also known as court dress due to its creation at royal courts, for women has its origins in the 15th century with the rise of the Burgundian court and its fashionable and fashion-conscious ruler Philip the Good. Wool, in various weaves, was the most dominant fabric for dresses, and the ladies of the court often simply added a train to their kirtle for formal occasions. Rich fabrics and fibres were usually the domain of the nobility, and clothing was still used as an identifier of social rank and status.

The vibrant court life of the 16th and 17th centuries with its focus on art, literature and music created a fertile environment for feminine formal clothing. Elaborate dinners, dances, and theatre productions allowed fashionable ladies to showcase their finery. During this entire period, a ball or evening dress was synonymous with court dress, as balls took place at court or in the palaces and salons of the nobility who copied the latest fashions at the courts. Starting with the late 18th century, the term "evening or ball gown" emerged, as balls and formal dances were no longer the sole domain of royals and aristocrats. Today, the evening gown comes in different silhouettes and even lengths, but the full-skirted ball gown remains the pinnacle of formality. Evening gowns are worn at various semi-formal black-tie (and sometimes white tie) functions, including formal dinners, opera and theatre premiere, formal dances, evening wedding receptions, and charity balls.
The evening dresses on dressv.com are royal and gorgeous that can make you feel like a famous star, charming and modern. Fitting and Flare skirt will show out all your curves. Bodice features beaded neckline for added glamour. Most of the fashion dresses can be custom made. Any questions about custom make the dress you can contact us.

reblogged:UNIQUE PASTEL PAINT THEMED ENGAGEMENT SHOOT

original: http://bridalmusings.com/2014/01/unique-engagement-shoot-paint-peter-and-veronika-photography/

This is what happens when a talented painter and a syrup maker get engaged in Slovakia…

A creative, psychedelic explosion of colour and fun!

Captured exquisitely on film by Peter & Veronika Photography, this unique engagement shoot is one of my favourites of all time!

I just love the couple’s style and playful manner plus all the dreamy pastel and fluorescent colours . Don’t you?

Bubble Dress with Asymmetrical Organza Petals Style

Short modern bridesmaid dress features organzapetal detailing and Black satin sash. Tulle strapless short dress with asymmetrically placed organza petals, bubble hem and black satin sash. Black satin sash included. Or make the look your own with a White by Vera Wang floral, grosgrain or horsehair sash. Available in stores and online in Blush, Charcoal, Ebony, Midnight, Ivory and VW Champagne. Sizes 16-26 available in stores only. Fully lined. Center back zip. Dry clean only.

I don't think this dress looks cheap at all, contrary to what the other reviewer said. One customer bought this for her prom since she wanted a unique dress that wasn't too gaudy unlike a lot of prom dresses out there. The petals on the side make it unique, but don't make the dress awkward. She likes the bubble hem a lot and the material is gauzy, but surprisingly soft. The stitching is average quality and the sash can be tied in a multitude of ways. Overall, it was a really good purchase and she paid a lot less for a designer prom dress than most of my friends.

What are some the challenges that you faced planning an intimate wedding?
The guest list! Originally it was going to be just the two of us. Then we made the mistake of telling our parents our intentions. One thing lead to another and our guest list grew to 17 people! Still small, but WAY larger than originally planned.
